Founded in 1957 in Chicago, Madden Communications is a privately held corporation. We have a history of providing traditional printing services to a broad range of clients. In the early 1990s, our organization went through some strategic and philosophical business changes, resulting in three critical business decisions:
Focus our entire organization on assisting companies to whom selling information is important and for whom POP (temporary and permanent merchandising displays) has an impact.
Develop an integrated business design that brings the discipline of supply chain management to a job shop, multiple vendor, or transactionally siloed industry.
Align our client relationships such that we collaboratively transcend the typical transaction-based, supplier-customer model, enabling us to go deeper into our clients’ organization, to gain a true understanding of their business and marketing objectives, and to use this knowledge to create real value in order to help them grow their business.
Through this discipline and re-directed strategy, Madden’s annual sales have climbed tenfold in the last decade. We achieved this growth through strategic association with our current clients: Altria, Ace Hardware, MillerCoors, and Remy Cointreau. Along with the growth in sales have come increases in staff and space. We now have four facilities, totaling approximately 600,000 square feet, and almost 350 employees dedicated to fulfilling our mission. All of our facilities are located within a few miles of Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport.
